The winners of BRIT Awards-2016
All lovers of pop music! 24 February London has held a regular, 36th, ceremony of musical awards – Brit Awards-2016, often called as “British Grammy”. This year, the most awaited music ceremony was called one of the brightest in history! Performances of such artists as Adele, Coldplay, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Drake, James Bay, The Weekend and girls from Little Mix were inimitable.
A triumpher of the Brit Awards-2016 has become magnificent Adele.
The singer received four cherished statuettes: “British Album of the Year” (“25”), “British Female Solo Artist”, “British Single of the Year” (“Hello”). In addition, the diva won a special award “Global Success”, as an artist who has achieved the greatest global success in the last year. So, now Adele is a happy owner of eight awards.
She was so excited that cried showing delight. Adele has even changed her bright red dress she wore on the red carpet of the Brit Awards, and show herself in new apparel, dress covered with glittering stars. Thus, without a doubt she has emphasized that she was the main winner and the star of the evening.
British rock star, incomparable David Bowie has posthumously received the “Icon” award.
Annie Lennox, Lorde and Gary Oldman have made a touching tribute to David Bowie who passed away at age of 69 years January 10, 2016. They shared tender memories of the musician.
Lennox: “For me, it’s impossible for me to mention Bowie’s name in the past tense. Everything he represented as an artist was and always will be vital and incredibly present. As a cutting-edge artistic genius, he continues to live on through his music… “
Gary Oldman, the close friend of the singer, accepted the award on behalf of his family and loved ones: “David, you were mortal but your potential was superhuman and your remarkable music is living on. We love you and we thank you.”
Bowie’s band performed a medley of his best and most famous songs.
